“Assurance Killers”

I hope all of you had a safe, warm and most memorable Thanksgiving Holiday.  We are at the lake visiting my parents and will return home Saturday night in time to watch the Tigers crush Texas A&M (hopefully). This Sunday I plan to share my message “Assurance Killers” that I intended to share last week.  As I noted in last week’s Friday Focus, check out 1 John 5:10-13 and Hebrews 4:3 and 9-10 before Sunday.  These passages will provide you with some background for my message. I’m happy to announce that last week’s Christmas Cares Offering exceeded $1600.00.  If you haven’t yet contributed, I hope you will consider doing so over the next two Sundays.  What a great way for us to practically share the love of Jesus with those in our church family who are facing difficult times and serious challenges. We’ll also be celebrating the Lord’s Supper this week as we enter the first Sunday of Advent.  As you drive to church this Sunday, intentionally prepare yourself for worship and when you enter the parking lot, pray that God will speak to every heart that gathers in His name at FFC.
