Simeon’s ability to recognize Jesus as the Messiah was due to the revelation of the Holy Spirit not to some extraordinary powers of perception on his part. That’s a significant matter because the same is true today – no one can recognize Jesus as the Son of God unless the Holy Spirit reveals that fact to them. In this message Pastor Jamie considers Christmas as seen by Simeon through the power of the Holy Spirit operating in his life.
