Who Are You?

In 2014, police in Tenerife, Spain, were alerted to a “gorilla” outside the Loro Park zoo. Responding swiftly, a veterinarian thwarted what seemed to be an escape attempt with a tranquilizer shot. But the story took an unexpected twist: the “gorilla” turned out to be a human in a costume! It was all part of a zoo drill simulating an animal escape.

This could have been a hilarious case of mistaken identity—except the zoo later debunked the story entirely. That’s right: FAKE NEWS!

As we look ahead to Sunday, I can promise you this—there will be no fake news as we explore our true identity in Jesus Christ. Instead, we’ll dive into the truth from Scripture, discovering who we are as God’s beloved children. I’m excited to share six practical stages that can help us live out our identity as unconditionally loved sons and daughters of God. It’s going to be a powerful and encouraging morning, and I hope you’ll join us!
