Happy New Year!
I’m looking forward to seeing all of you this Sunday—weather permitting! With the possibility of winter weather this weekend, please keep an eye on your email inbox for updates from FFC regarding our Sunday service.
This week, we’ll kick off the new year by exploring the biblical topic of “Dominion.” While it’s not a word we hear often, it carries profound meaning and has sometimes been misunderstood due to misuse. From the beginning of creation, God granted Adam and Eve dominion, and we’ll dive into what this means for us today. Together, we’ll discover the true definition of dominion, the various areas in which God calls us to exercise it, and where the proper exercise of dominion begins.
In preparation for Sunday’s message, I encourage you to reflect prayerfully on these verses:
Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” (Genesis 1:28)
The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. (Genesis 2:15)
I hope you’ll join us as we begin this journey together. See you on Sunday!
Blessings,
pastor jamie
