“That Which God Anoints”

The Bible makes it clear that every born-again believer has been anointed by the Holy Spirit. (1 John 2:20) So, what does that mean? And further, if we’ve all been anointed with the Holy Spirit, why don’t we consistently experience His power and presence?

In seeking answers to these questions, we’ll focus on Exodus 30:22-25 this coming Sunday.

Then the Lord said to Moses, 23 “Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant calamus, 24 500 shekels of cassia—all according to the sanctuary shekel—and a hin of olive oil. 25 Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil.

The spices mentioned in this passage provide us with some wonderful insights as to how we can walk in the fulness of the Holy Spirit and enjoy His undiminished anointing in our lives.

I hope you can be with us this Sunday as we discover what pleases and attracts the Holy Spirit.

Seeking to please Him,
