“Five Marks of True Revival”

Imagine picking up an old, grimy painting at a garage sale for just $10. Out of curiosity, you take it to an art dealer, and after careful examination, he looks at you in amazement and says, “This is a Rembrandt—it’s worth over ten million dollars.” How would you feel? Would that discovery change your life?

There was a time in Judah’s history when a similar discovery took place. While working in the temple, some men found an old copy of the Book of the Law—God’s Word—hidden within the walls. Like a forgotten masterpiece, it had been neglected for years.

When King Josiah heard it read, he immediately recognized it as the Word of God and allowed it to transform his life and leadership.

Sadly, many Christians and churches today have also “lost” God’s Word—not because it’s missing, but because it’s been neglected. As we’ll discover this Sunday, revival begins when we rediscover God’s Word and respond to it in obedience.
