“The Power of One”

I hope all of you are enjoying the wonderful fall weather God has been sending our way. The vivid colors speak of His glory and the changing seasons give evidence of His creative genius. What a wonder it is to behold!

On Sunday we’ll focus our attention on Ephesians 4:3-6. This instructive passage has much to teach us about the power of one, or unity, in Christ’s church. Specifically, we’ll consider the seven “one’s” Paul calls us to remember and practice as members of Christ’s church. These include one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father.

Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. (Ephesians 4:3-6)

I’m already looking forward to seeing all of you and learning what it means to “make every effort” to keep ourselves united in the Spirit.

Also, remember our Fall Festival is this coming Sunday evening. Festivities start at 5 PM with the cornhole tournament getting underway at 5:15 pm.

Be sure to bring some side dishes or desserts to share at dinner. Also, bring your lawn chairs and a blanket or two as I think the evening will be crisp.

With growing excitement,
