Several years ago, when standing in a grocery store checkout line, a magazine headline caught my eye – “First Successful Head Transplant.”
I said to myself, “Wow, how amazing is that?” Then I thought the claim through and decided, nope, that’s fake news. Interestingly, I noticed only one of those magazines was left in the rack proving it’s true – “Inquiring minds want to know.”
When Paul wrote his letter to the churches in Galatia, he challenged their decision to turn from the true Gospel to one that was false. Or, in his words, one that was “no gospel at all.”
This coming Sunday we’ll start a seven-week series out of the book of Galatians. My message this week will focus on Galatians 1:1-10 where we learn to distinguish the True Gospel from all of the headline fakes that are out there. I hope you can find the time to read through the book of Galatians before Sunday to refresh your memory of all God wanted the early church and to us to learn through His servant, Paul.
