Be A Light: Our Identity

We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does.
Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining – they just shine.

Dwight L. Moody

I am excited to kick off a brand new series titled, “Be A Light” this coming Sunday morning at Faith Family.  This four-week series is based on Matthew 5:14-16 where we read:

“You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.  No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket.  Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

As we begin this series, we will first take a look at what Jesus points out is OUR IDENTITY.  We are given clear indication in this passage of scripture of who we are in Christ – “You are the light of the world”.   I pray that you can join us this coming Sunday as we will take a deep look into what that really means and examine the call placed upon our lives because of that identity.

I look forward to the opportunity to worship with you this coming Sunday!

Blessings,

Pastor Brandon
