“Empowered”

It was AW Tozer who wrote, “The Spirit-filled life is not a special, deluxe edition of Christianity. It is part and parcel of the total plan of God for His people.”

I like that because it reminds every follower of Jesus that normal Christianity is the Spirit-filled life. Such a life isn’t for a select few, the heroes and special forces of the faith; it’s for every man, woman, and child who names Christ as Savior and Lord.

Over the next six weeks, we’re going to study the Holy Spirit, the part of the Trinity Pastor Francis Chan says is too often treated like the “forgotten God.”

On Sunday, we’ll start our journey to increase our understanding of the Holy Spirit and deepen our relationship with the Holy Spirit. We’ll consider what Jesus had to say about the Holy Spirit before His ascension into heaven. We’ll revisit the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came like a rushing wind to establish the church. We’ll unpack what it means to be both baptized and filled by the Holy Spirit. We’ll also remind ourselves how to avoid grieving the Holy Spirit and discover the genuine evidences of a Spirit-filled life.

This is going to be a great series!

Praying you can join us this coming Sunday,
