“Your Lampstand”

I look forward to this coming Sunday as we continue to study Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:14-16.

You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Specifically, we’ll look at the phrase, “…a lamp is placed on a stand…” 

Have you ever given any thought as to what that stand might be in your life? God has given every believer a stand, or multiple stands, from which we’re to shine the light of Christ to this dark world.
