Missio Dei

Sermon Synopsis

Missio Dei is a Latin term translated “The Mission of God” or “The Sending God.” In this message, Pastor Jamie identifies the mission of God (Luke 4:18-19) and discusses the sending nature of God. As the message concludes, Pastor Jamie identifies four distinguishing characteristics of a “missional church.” A missional church unashamedly preaches the message of the cross (1 Cor. 1:18), produces followers of Jesus Christ (Col. 1:28-29), lights up the darkness around it (Matthew 5:14-16), and labors to see every people group reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
