We have been doing a series in the book of James on what real faith looks like. This week we will be in James chapter 4. A big part of the chapter is about worldliness. The readers were acting like they had friended the world instead of God. They were operating according to their flesh, not God’s Spirit. So James makes the point of telling them to submit to God. The chapter speaks to many issues, but they all surround the idea of what it means to submit to God. And it’s true, real faith looks like submission to God. But what does real submission look like? Or, what does real submission mean to us? There are three answers to this. And not only do they give the real meaning of submission, but the requirements as well.
