You are Not Your Own

Sermon Synopsis

In this message to start the New Year, Pastor Jamie shares a message out of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. This message focuses on the phrase “you are not your own.” If you’re living as one who belongs to God your life will be marked by these three things: 1) you will readily recognize God as your Creator; 2) you will readily acknowledge Christ as your Savior, 3) you will readily surrender to the Holy Spirit as your Lord. This is a very practical message for every believer as we start the New Year! PRAYER: Dear God, I want to live with the awareness that I belong to You. I belong to You because You created me. I belong to You because You paid for me with the blood of Your Son. I belong to You because You live in me as my Lord. Lord, I easily forget these truths. So help me this coming year to always acknowledge You as my Creator, as my savior, and as my Lord. Help me kill the pride that still lives in me; I want to dethrone me so I can enthrone You. This is my prayer at the beginning of this new year! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
