Holy Longing: "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus"

In this first Advent message, we look at Simeon—a man defined by holy longing as he waited for the Messiah. Like him, many of us are waiting for God to move, speak, or restore, and the good news is that God often does His deepest work in seasons of waiting. Paired with this is the carol, "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus"—a song rich in theology of the arriving Christ, expressing our desire and expectation of the Son of promise.
