What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."
—A.W. Tozer

Our Convictions

It is our mission to invite the seeker to salvation and to disciple the believer to maturity so each may become a fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
Below are several statements about our beliefs in who God is, what He has done and is going to do, and our role within His work.

About the Bible

We believe that the words of the original Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are infallible and inerrant and that they are our final and absolute authority in every area of life and knowledge.

About God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co‑equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

About Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is both undiminished deity and genuine humanity in one Person forever. Further, we believe that He died as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins and that through faith in Him as Lord and Savior, we are justified (declared righteous) by God.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a personal Being who convicts the world of sin; who regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, empowers, guides, baptizes and bestows His nature and gifts on believers; and who seals them eternally for God.

About Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, totally apart from human endeavor and merit.

About the Resurrection

We believe Jesus Christ bodily rose from the dead and that He ascended in like form into heaven, where He ever lives to intercede as our Great High Priest and Advocate.

About the Second Coming

We believe that this age will be consummated by the literal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ.

About the Final Judgment

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the just spending eternity in Heaven with God and the unjust spending eternity in Hell without God.

About Evangelism

We believe that all believers are under the mandate of Jesus Christ to proclaim the Gospel to the entire world.

About the Local Church

We believe that the local church is a tangible manifestation of the universal church, the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Cornerstone and Head.
