Friday Focus - March 27, 2026

This Sunday we step into Palm Sunday—the celebration, the cheers, the expectations.

Luke 19:28–44: Jesus enters Jerusalem and is received as a king. But He is not the king that is expected. And He has come to do what is needed, not what is wanted. Oftentimes our image of Jesus can be shaped by the expectations we place on Him. But Jesus is in the business of turning our expectations inside out.

Before Sunday, ask yourself:

Am I following Jesus for who He is—or for what I want Him to do?

Where might my expectations of Him be off?

The road to Jerusalem leads to the cross—and Jesus rides it anyway.
