This Sunday we begin a brand new series:

Summer on the Mount

What does it really mean to live a blessed life?

Jesus begins the Sermon on the Mount by turning our expectations upside down. The people the world often overlooks are the very people Jesus calls blessed—not because of their circumstances, but because they belong to His Kingdom.

The Kingdom of God doesn't just change our future. It changes how we live today.

As you prepare for Sunday, reflect on these questions:

  • How would I define a "blessed" life?
  • Am I measuring success by the world's standards or God's Kingdom?
  • Where is Jesus inviting me to depend on Him more deeply?

Read Before Sunday:
  • Matthew 5:1–6

See you Sunday,
Ben

I believe a majority of people overlook the very people that Jesus calls blessed; our veterans, the elderly, those with disabilities, yes even the homeless, parents/relatives abandoned in nursing homes, & those in prisons. Not because of their circumstances, but perhaps it's the bad choices they've made when they have no spouse/friend(s), no one to talk to or are old & forgotten. We all belong to God's Kingdom, God is Love. He loves all people which He created in His own image. Think of people who are also blessed with wealth, good homes, plenty to eat, more than enough clothes to wear, etc.

nWho did Jesus hang out with and preach to the most, sinners, the old, the sick physically or mentally, the poor, the abused, those that made the wrong choices & all who have been forgotten & abandoned. Jesus preached for us to help the lowly, the ones needing help, a helping hand, a leg up, a voice of a friend to talk to, or someone to just take time to visit one another.

nThe Kingdom of God doesn't just change our future but it can change the way we live today. Everyone of us has the chance to help change the future of somebody else; It can be one day at a time or one person at a time.

nWouldn't it feel great to help someone in a greater need then to help those that God blessed that have plenty!!!!
